For a small, upfront consultation fee, we provide you with professionally vetted listings, advice, and access to help you secure your new home. Our Rental Experts can also advise you on non-rental search related topics such as landlord negotiation, market insights, and common industry practices.
Our mission is to provide renters with convenient access to licensed Rental Experts who can successfully cut through the noise and distractions of any rental search or situation. We are not attempting to replace the traditional rental search with an agent. We are re-imaging how renters can interact with real estate professionals by offering a new, forward-thinking engagement platform.

If you are searching, we recommend using Project Apartments roughly 30-45 days before your targeted move-in date. The closer to your move-in date, the better.
We suggest this so your Rental Expert can deliver listings you can actually secure, not listings that are stale, or can potentially rent before you’re ready to make a move.

Certainly! At Project Apartments, we work alongside an extensive, citywide network of licensed real estate agents offering remote professional insights and advice. We thoroughly vet our Rental Experts to gauge their market knowledge and expertise.
We do not work with Rental Experts that are unlicensed in the State of NY or lack extensive market experience. All our Rental Experts are required to have at minimum 3+ years of NYC rental experience and deemed a rental specialist by industry peers and past clients.
In addition, our Rental Experts are given additional training in specific approaches to telerealty (real estate-related services via telecommunication), including listing strategies and best practices when giving rental advice.

Please note, there’s a cancelation fee of 1/3rd the consultation rate. We strongly suggest considering the cancellation fee before scheduling your rental consultation.
Because we want you to experience the full benefits of your rental consultation, we ask you to give your current Rental Expert a chance to work with you. Occasionally, renters can feel like their expert is not a good fit. Please note, our Rental Experts provide their perspective based on years of industry experience. Sometimes they may express opinions and rental options that you may disagree with. Same with any other consultant or industry professional.

Project Apartments is committed to offering everyone the best possible experience. If you’re ever not satisfied, you can request a new Rental Expert by contacting us at [email protected].
We act as a platform to arrange professional services. We compensate our experts through their Rental Expert Agreement with Project Apartments. Typically, we do not grant refunds for unused time because experts schedule their days around consultations, much like other consultants and industry professionals.
We address refund requests on a case-by-case basis. At times, we will make accommodations if unique circumstances dictate the reason for a refund request. If we do not grant a refund, we usually make other accommodations, such as credit for a future consultation.
COMP ADMIN listings are apartments where we offer additional administrative services at no extra cost. For these properties, the landlord is offering a rental incentive, which covers admin costs. COMP ADMIN includes paperwork organization, landlord engagement, and app submission.
COMP ADMIN is just another way we make the rental search process seamless and less complicated.

We accept all major Debit/Credit Cards and Paypal.
We bill you the day you book your rental consultation. There are no renewals. For additional consultation time, schedule directly with your Rental Expert or on our scheduling page. We offer additional consultation time at a discounted rate.
We try our best to make each consultation as quick and efficient as possible. However, in some cases, 1-hour is simply not enough time. This is why we offer additional 30-min and 1-hour consultations at a discounted rate.
30-min – $50 per/additional hour
1–hour – $100 per/additional hour
Please keep in mind there are restrictions. You can only book additional consultations time within 30-days of your initial consultation, and it MUST be similar to your original search.
